Maritime Electrician (full-time)

The ideal candidate will know and or be able to:

  • Competent in all areas of boating electrical systems

  • Install the most complex electrical systems on any vessel new or old

  • Diagnose and repair electrical issues in both AC and DC circuits

  • Willing to learn and advance one’s skill sets and knowledge base within the marine electrical trade.

  • Have a working knowledge of fuel systems both diesel and gas

  • Fundamental basic understanding of AC and DC marine electrical systems competence.

  • Willingness to learn about the installation, maintenance, and repair of the Seakeeper, a gyroscopic stabilizer

  • Solid time management skills.

  • Proficient with NMEA 2K networks and troubleshooting

  • High-end audio system design, implementation, and tuning.

  • Self-motivated and self-starting individuals with a thirst for learning and advancing themselves with their abilities.

  • Knowledge of plumbing systems and other onboard systems is a huge plus.

Senior Marine Mechanic (full-time)

The ideal candidate will know how to:

  • Diagnose and repair engines

  • Diagnose and repair electrical issues

  • Have working knowledge of rigging systems for sailboats.

  • Have working knowledge and some abilities with woodworking.

  • Have some knowledge of fiberglass

  • Have the ability to diagnose and repair plumbing systems.

  • Have working knowledge of all other systems

Fiberglass/Paint Technician (full-time)

Annapolis Harbor Boat Yard has plenty of work and we are hiring! Our fiberglass department performs a multitude of activities that sets them apart from other organizations. They typically handle major fabrication of fiberglass panels, repairs to both structural and cosmetic issues as well as minor Gelcoat problems. Most of our fiberglass staff is knowledgeable about the procedures for painting boats as well as having the ability to prime and repair paint issues. This is a full-time year-round position! We are excited to be able to bring on new team members that want to learn and grow.

Previous 3-year minimum experience in repairs to marine fiberglass is required as are the following:

  • Knowledge of and experience in fiberglass laminate layup and repairs.

  • Knowledge of and experience in Awlgrip and other paint products application and repairs.

  • Knowledge of and proven ability to repair Gelcoat and Gelcoat color matching.

  • Knowledge of and adhesion to ABYC guidelines.

  • Ability to arrive on time from 7:30AM - 4PM Monday through Friday is required.

  • Valid driver's license.

  • An attitude to get the job done correctly the first time.
